Recent Accomplishments

Once again our commercial photographer genius Chris Lalonde has been recognized with some recent praise and we wanted to acknowledge his success here and share some of his winning shots with you.

First off, he has been nominated for a National Magazine Award for a recent food story in Ottawa Magazine. With almost 2,000 entries, we're very proud that he's down to the final few. The awards will be announced on June 7 at an awards gala and we'll be wearing our "Team Chris" t-shirts.

Secondly, Chris has also received a Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA) award for his "We Get You Where You're Going" campaign that was launched in York last Fall. Take a look at the winning campaign....

Silver Medal Finish !

We're proud to announce that our commercial photographer Christian Lalonde has brought home a second place finish in an international photo contest held in Las Vegas last month.

You may recognize this image as part of his Rideau Centre ad campaign across Ottawa. The backdrop is our city's gorgeous new architectural gem; The Ottawa Convention Centre.

We can't say enough about it- we love the juxtaposition of the femininity from the model and the harsh cold steel structure of the OCC.

Photolux Inspires Others at 'Imaging USA 2012'

Sorry for the delay in posting, we have been travelling. In early January, our own Anthony Cava returned from Imaging USA 2012 in New Orleans. Imaging USA is the longest running national photographic convention, expo and image exhibition in the United States, drawing tens of thousands of professionals from around the world.
Anthony was one of their guest speakers sharing his 20+ experience as a photographer in the wedding industry with a strong focus on running a successful photography studio & bringing clients exceptional product & service in a competitive marketplace. We work with Anthony so we know how talented and inspiring he is but it is always nice to hear that kind of praise for your colleagues from others outside our office walls (because of course we're biased).

Favourite Wedding Images of 2011

Now that wedding season is well over, we had some time to slowly go through all our images. It may be 5 months before wedding season starts up again but looking through these photos allows us to remember the wonderful brides and grooms this season who invited us into their special day to capture some of the most intimate of moments. We were honoured to work with all of you and wish you nothing but a lifetime of happiness!

Our photos featured in latest edition of Ottawa Magazine

Our Christian Lalonde has done it again. He has captured some of the most delicious food in our capital city for Ottawa Magazine's November/December edition of "Where to Eat Right Now".

This is not Christian's first time photographing the food section for Ottawa Magazine however, it does provide some challenges: how to accurately convey the taste of something through only a photograph and constantly think of unique ways to present the images in a reoccurring feature.

Christian did not disappoint. The magazine feature even caused us to run out and try some of the restaurants before the rest of the city found out about them and we can say it's some of the best food we've ever had.
